This document provides guidelines for implementing Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in schools as mandated by the Right to Education Act 2009. It discusses the policy perspective on CCE dating back to the National Policy on Education in 1986. The key aspects of CCE that are explored include understanding what CCE is, why it should be undertaken, what should be assessed, how and when assessment should occur, and how the assessment information can be used. The overall goal of CCE is to holistically assess students' cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional development over time in order to support learning and progress for all children.
