- 2. My career tip for GROW(R)ing in 2015 Invest on lifelong learning! One of the essential preconditions for personal development is education. The world is moving on, hence, we must adjust to all the changes and conform to the emerging trends of nowadays and of tomorrow. It’s extremely important and a huge plus for a business person to be a lifelong learner so as to convince both his colleagues and his employer that he is passionate with his job and he is restless. Also, that he does not consider himself perfect simply because there’s always room for improvement and innovation. Therefore, we should all engage in the ongoing process of enriching our knowledge on our occupational fields through unconventional and sustainable practices. In this way we ensure the improvement of our competences and manage to be successful workers who can adjust to different (future) working environments. Lifelong learning can only bring substantial rewards in your professional life.
- 3. Gabriela Gabriel My name is Gabriela Gabriel and I am 22. I have recently graduated from the University of Cyprus with a bachelor degree on English Language and Literature. I am currently working as a teacher in the private sector however my ambition is to become a professor of linguistics or a neurolinguist. I decided to join the C:F community so as to broaden my professional networks and be an active contributor on C:F’s effort on healthy competition in the fields of education and employment. Moreover, through C:F I have direct access to any trends and current issues related not only to education but to every (professional) field and I can keep myself up to date and follow others’ educators ideas and suggestions while providing my personal experiences and beliefs too.
