Changeling Presentation
- 1. Changelings This is exactly the type of location we need for our thriller.
- 2. Summary The sequence will begin in a foggy woods with a mysterious creature walking. You never get to see the changeling fully throughout the sequence but there will be extreme close ups of long thin feet and fingers and a shot of the eyes. Establishing shot of road with black jeep, coming driving and then breaking down. Panning of car all the way round when driving to see mother with baby. Establishing shot, cut shot to trees, digetic sound of branches swaying and whistling wind. Tilt upwards to see hooded man with close up on green eyes. As the creature is walking the creatures shadow is seen illustrating his mysteriousness. A point of view shot from the man to see women outside of car, calling for help is then seen. Walks to other side of road for more signal. Baby/Toddler is seen to be crying. The image is Sharpe and bright of the baby. Two creatures merge from behind the trees to stand behind main creature, portrayed through the shadows. Run/ Walk towards the baby again P.O.V shot hearing their breathing and parts of their limbs and saliva Two take the baby. Main creature sits in baby seat, morphing into the baby. Other creatures run into misty woods with baby. (SLOW MOTION INTO BABY) Shuts her eyes, Black out!!!! Close up of green eyes of baby (creature.) Fade out.

- 4. Narrative of the whole story The opening sequence will lead into the narrative of the story as a whole because as soon as the baby/changeling eyes are shut then when they open they will be green with cat slits and then a blackout will follow. This will leave people wondering what will happen to the real baby and why they wanted to swap the babies around. It’s a cliff hanger!!!!!

- 6. We want to start our thriller with an establishing shot of a lonely country road. This is an idea for a location road to use in our thriller. This road may or may not be possible. It depends on weather. Preferable the road will be flat in which the car will pull up on as it breaks down.. Location ideas
- 7. Ideas for the thrillers. Establishing and panning shot, to see baby with mother in black jeep driving on a quiet dark misty road in a dark forest. It will then switch to waving branches of trees which will have a black/dark blue filter to make it look more dark and sinister. On this shot we will include some of the titles. As the car drives down the road we see it conk out and a close up of the mother getting out of the car. We see her get out her phone and use an E.C.U to show a screen saver on her phone of her family to signify how much her family mean to her. The next shot will be of the changelings long pointy fingers which will have jelly on them to show how disgusting it is. Representing saliva. We want to use a wind spinner to show it moving through the woods, and include the use of dietetic sounds like owls and twigs crackling, as well as heavy breathing from the changelings. A lot of shadows will be included as well as C.U on the limbs of the changelings as well as the use of shadows as the changelings actual faces will never be actually seen, creating ambiguous characters, which in effect will entice the viewers to watch on.
- 8. Continued Ideas There will then be a point of view shot from the changeling hearing and noticing the baby/toddler in the car and show him creeping forward towards it. Next there will be a close up of dribble and sweat coming of the ears of the changeling. The changeling sits in the seat of the baby, all the time cutting back to the mum who is trying to find signal on her phone. The other two changelings take the baby and run off into the distance. The changeling turns into the baby however with slight differences. The ending shot will be of the baby opening its eyes to show that they are glowing green. Showing that the changeling has now morphed into the baby. Cutting back to the mum who looks up from her phone at her baby and smiles.
- 9. Camera Shots. When ever P.O.V shots from the creatures eyes- inverted, colour filter perhaps dark blue, or green. Establishing shots and panning shots of the forests and jeep. E.C.U of the changelings and baby in jeep. Close ups on the baby and mother trying to get signal. E.C.U of the screen of the mobile, to show the screen saver of the family.
- 10. Props we need include: a mobile phone, a family type of car e.g. a four by four black jeep. The Character we need is a boy to be made into changeling from our school with the use of make up and prosthetics etc… A small male child such as Jim’s cousin- this is because most little boys get sympathy because of their age. A mother, who will be played by an As girl at my school, who looks older then her years. Props and Characters needed
- 11. Target Audience Our target audience is between the age of 15-35 years. We want it to be a 12 A rating so more people are able to watch it. We want to cause create and suspense as well as excitement, as hopefully the viewers will be enticed enough to want to continue in the rest of the movie. We want to show the idea of different cultures coming into our society and implementing their beliefs and ideas into British Society.
