- 1. Yolande Remy Critical, Creative, and Practical thinking 1. Why is it important to ask and answer questions? It's important to ask questions to better your understanding of what is being taught. When you answer questions, it shows that you have understood the lesson or lecture. For example, Physician, Dr.Hunter asks questions about new ways to use drugs and now he developed a product that uses coated mesh used to strengthen diseased blood vessels. 2. What are the different ways to question effectively? Give an example of each! Know why you question, want to question, and question in different ways. Know why you question: Probably to find better ways to lose weight. Want to question: I want to ask how to lose weight because i want an effective way to lose weight. Question in different ways: how can i lose weight if I’m eating rice three times a week? 3. What are the three types of thinking skills and how can you enrich these skills? The three types of thinking skills are analytical, creative, and practical. I can enrich analytical skills by evaluating and finding more information about a particular text. Creative, I can brainstorm and jot down more ideas that can help me find a better solution. Practical thinking skills can be easy for me because all I have to do is put into practice all that I discovered and investigated during the process. 4. Give examples of each. -Analytical thinking skills: is the process of gathering information, breaking it into parts, examining and evaluating. How would you differentiate losing weight and gaining weight? -Creative thinking skills: create new ideas that may create change. What if i wanted to lose weight but didn’t exercise, how would that work? -Practical thinking skills: make things happen. What steps do i need to take to reach my goal of losing weight?
