- 6. Other Pointing Devices Trackball: A stationary pointing device with a ball on its top or side. Size : Ping-Pong ball. Touchpad: Small, flat, rectangular pointing device (sensitive to pressure & motion). On most touchpads, can tap the pad’s surface to imitate mouse operations i.e , clicking. Pointing Stick: A pressure-sensitive pointing device shaped (pencil eraser that is positioned between keys on a keyboard).
