Once Bitten, Twice Shy

“There’s a knock at the door in the middle of the
night, and Chris is confronted with a
frantic, injured stranger. He allows the stranger
to come in, and he tries to tend to his wounds.
However the man doesn’t know what attacked
him, and he’s adamant it wasn’t human.”
Chris Tucker
 Age: 53
 DOB: 26/07/1959
 Height: 5ft 11”
 Shoe size: 10
Build: Not overweight, its clear he was in good shape (due to his profession) but he is
        slightly rotund from middle age.
Complexion: Fair but ruddy; again due to his profession.
Hair style/colour: Grey, his hair was mousy brown. His hair is thinning but he doesn’t
have a noticeable bald spot. Its kept short and often under a hat.
 Eye colour: Blue-grey
Distinguishable features: He has a tattoo of an eagle on his forearm. He wears a silver
wedding ring on a chain around his neck. He has many scars,
but nothing notable, just usual wear and tear.
Dress Style: Jeans, walking boots, shirts or polo neck tops usually plain, hiking socks,
often wears a white vest underneath his shirt and he has a padded plaid
               jacket.
Relationships: He’s married to Ada. They married in 1990 when Chris was 31. They have
no children; Chris is unable to father children. There has always been
some tension between them because of this but it has rarely been
                 discussed.
Family: The only family he has left is an estranged older sister, whom he has not spoken
        to since he was eighteen and she twenty three. His parents are both deceased;
his father died in 2001, followed five years later by his mother. He was never
particularly close to any cousins or aunts/uncles and can’t even remember their
              names.
Family Feuds: His sister, Julie, left to live in France aged twenty three, with a man she
met when she was on holiday. Her family didn’t approve of their
relationship; he was 19 years her senior and already had children. Chris
lost contact with Julie and has not heard from her since.
Education: Only attended school for as long as he needed to, he left before taking the
equivalent of what are now GCSE’s. He has a gun license and he is fully
qualified to drive heavy vehicles and machinery including lorries and tractors.
Occupation: He was a game keeper for a long time, and he is now a game keeper and
land owner. He’s quite wealthy, he had a successful career, and his parents
were wealthy enough to leave him a large sum of money in their wills.
Hobbies: His main hobby is wood carving and making things. He paints from time to
          time as well.
Pets: He keeps dogs, as game keepers do, in kennels near the house but he doesn’t keep
any as pets. The only pet he and his wife has is an elderly parrot called Marvin,
whom they have had since they first bought their current house and land in 2002.
They adopted Marvin from a rescue centre when he was aged around twenty, he is
now about thirty years old. Marvin can talk, and Chris used to find great pleasure in
teaching him to swear, however he has lost much of the pleasure in his life over
     the past few years.
Outlook: He used to be very positive, with a good career and a happy marriage.
However things took a turn for the worse when Ada was bitten by a werewolf.
He has since struggled to keep it a secret. He bought the land so that she could
be safe and run during the full moon, however he is left having to deal with
the bodies of both animals and people. His wife is not how she used to be,
they are quite an unhappy couple.
Addictive Behaviour: Chris smokes occasionally to calm his nerves, but his main vie is
                      drinking.
Ada Tucker
Age: 51
DOB: 19/11/1957
Height: 5ft 4.5”
Shoe size: 4
Build: Petite but not athletic.
Complexion: Fair, she has nice, well looked after skin and has aged well.
Hair style/colour: She dyes her hair a chestnut brown, but it would be almost
                   completely grey.
Eye colour: Hazel
Distinguishable features: She has a large bite scar on her left thigh, however no one
apart from Chris has ever seen it. She also has a burn mark on
her left wrist from scalding herself with hot water when she
                           was a teenager.
Dress Style: Usually jeans or black or beige trousers with a plain t-shirt and cardigan.
Relationships: She’s married to Chris. They married in 1990 when she was 29. She has
never understood the tension between them, but deep down she has
always resented the fact that Chris hasn’t been able to give her children.
She would never tell him this, or say it out loud at all.
Family: Her elderly mother is still alive but living in a home. She has dementia and
barely recognises Ada when she visits. Ada tries to visit once a fortnight. She also
has a brother, who is more vigilant in visiting their mother; he goes twice a
week. Ada and her brother, Graham, are close but don’t see much of each other.
Ada and Chris have become quite reclusive.
Family Feuds: Her father walked out on them when she was just eight, and Graham ten.
They haven’t seen him since. Ada and Graham spent some time about ten
years ago trying to trace him, and found they had a half brother. They got
in contact for a while and were informed of their fathers death from
               cancer just four years previously.
Education: She is quite successful, she did take A Levels, and completed a college course
in accounting and went on to be a receptionist at a large firm until it went
bust in 2007. She and Chris had enough money, and she never started work
           anywhere else.
Hobbies: She knits and sews as a hobby, and enjoys reading and walking in the
countryside and around their land. She also has a keen interest in birds; she is
often reading up on birds and buying various bird feeders. Chris bought her a
digital camera for Christmas one year, so she likes to sit and bird watch in the
          garden and take photos.
Pets: Their parrot Marvin.
Outlook: She always admired Chris’ positivity and ability to get through anything, but
she has always had an innate negativity and pessimistic attitude to life. She
feels unfulfilled, and goes about her daily life as a means to survive rather
than enjoy. She longs for children. Life has been, obviously, difficult since she
was bitten, but she doesn’t remember the nights she spends in the woods on
the full moon; she only remembers leaving the house at night and returning in
the morning. She feels Chris’ resentment and regret when he has to deal with
the carnage she often leaves behind and this weighs her down and upsets her.
She knows he isn’t happy, and also knows that there is nothing she can do for
          him.
Addictive Behaviour: She too drinks, although less habitually than Chris, and usually
when he’s not at home. She often spends time when he’s out working with a
bottle of red wine, just sobbing to herself.

                   scruffy.
