Change Theory
 Adults will change if they foresee the benefits.
 Lewin
 Driving and restraining forces, pushing toward and away
from change, respectively
 Phases
 Unfreezing: examine needs/motivation for change as well as
forces that make change easier or more difficult
 Moving: actively plan changes and take action on them; deal
with both positive and negative forces; make modifications
 Refreezing: becomes an integral part of who you are and what
you do
