This lesson plan aims to teach 17 first grade special education students the 12 months of the year. The class has a diverse racial makeup and 7 students have ADHD. The objectives are for students to recite and list the months in order with 70% accuracy through activities like sorting notecards, singing songs, and making calendars. Students will work in groups at centers utilizing materials like computers, art supplies, and a CD player. They will share their work and be engaged through questions. Evaluation will involve students placing months in the correct order on the smart board with or without using a song to help.
