- 1. Days of the Week By: Sarah
- 2. The Learners I will be teaching the days of the week to a Pre-K class. There are 10 girls and 10 boys in the classroom. 80% are white, and 20% are African Americans.
- 3. Main Objective The students will be taught the days of the week through interactive learning and play. The students will be able to recite the days of the week in order by the end of one school week.
- 4. Day by Day Breakdown Day 1- I will recite each day using my fingers to represent the days with a number and then have the students join me in reciting the days while counting with their fingers. Day 2- I will teach the students the days of the week song to the tune of the Adams family theme song.
- 5. Day 3- I will create a chart with the days of the week on it and have the students tell me what day yesterday was, what today is, and what tomorrow will be. Day 4- The children will make a days of the week foldable and draw an activity that they do for each day of the week.
- 6. Day 5- Have seven students come up to the front of the class, and give each student a necklace with a different day of the week on it. Have the other students put the children in order depending on their day.
