and marketing innovative products and services by leveraging new opportunities

an ever-more complex, interconnected and risk-aware world, realizing their potential depends on identifying barriers
to development, enabling responsive and responsible innovation, and forging new partnerships between
governments, industry, academics and the society.

Speaker Profile:
Ms Kumud Srinivasan Ph.D.
President, Intel India
Ms Kumud M Srinivasan is President of Intel India and general manager of the Intel
Architecture Group, India. In this capacity, she is responsible for general
management of Intel's operations in India, which includes location's overall strategy,
business-enabling operations, organizational development, engineering and
innovation for market development, as well as managing relationships with
government, industry and academia.
Previously, Srinivasan was vice president and general manager of IT for Silicon,
Software and Services where she led the delivery of IT solutions and services for
Intel's hardware and software engineers. Srinivasan joined Intel in 1987 and has held
several business and information systems positions within Intel's manufacturing and
IT organizations.
Srinivasan is a member of the Board of Advisors of the School of Information Studies
in Syracuse University.
Srinivasan received her bachelor's degree in economics from Calcutta University in
1981 and her master's degree in information and library studies from Syracuse
University in 1984. In addition, she has completed doctoral coursework in information
science at University of California, Berkeley.

The Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) founded in 1871, the IET is one of the world’s leading
professional societies for the engineering and technology community. The IET has more than 150,000 members in
127 countries, with active networks of members in 37 countries. The IET provides a global knowledge network to
facilitate the exchange of ideas and promote the positive role of science, engineering and technology in the world.
This knowledge sharing focuses on five sectors: built environment, design and production, energy, information and
communications, and transport. In support of these sectors, the IET publishes more than 100 new titles every year; a

Institution's main offices are in Savoy Place, London, and at Michael Faraday House, Stevenage. The IET India
Office was established in 2006 in Bangalore. The office functions as the initial point of contact with the IET and
supports and co-ordinates IET activities and events in India

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of
India, partnering industry, Government, and civil society, through advisory and consultative processes.CII is a non-
government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in India's development
process. Founded over 118 years ago, India's premier business association has over 7100 members, from the private as
well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 90,000 enterprises from around 257
national and regional sectoral industry bodies. CII charts change by working closely with Government on policy issues,
interfacing with thought leaders, and enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and business opportunities for industry through
a range of specialized services and strategic global linkages. It also provides a platform for consensus-building and
networking on key issues.
Extending its agenda beyond business, CII assists industry to identify and execute corporate citizenship programmes.

across diverse domains including affirmative action, healthcare, education, livelihood, diversity management, skill
development, empowerment of women, and water, to name a few.
The CII Theme for 2013-14 is Accelerating Economic Growth through Innovation, Transformation, Inclusion and
Governance. Towards this, CII advocacy will accord top priority to stepping up the growth trajectory of the nation, while
retaining a strong focus on accountability, transparency and measurement in the corporate and social eco-system, building
a knowledge economy, and broad-basing development to help deliver the fruits of progress to all. With 63 offices, including
10 Centres of Excellence, in India, and 7 overseas offices in Australia, China, Egypt, France, Singapore, UK, and USA, as
well as institutional partnerships with 224 counterpart organizations in 90 countries, CII serves as a reference point for
Indian industry and the international business community.
