This document outlines a presentation on locally synthesized metal oxide nanowire devices and their gas sensing applications. It discusses how metal oxides like ZnO are well-suited for gas sensing due to their properties. A new fabrication method is developed using localized hydrothermal synthesis to improve device reliability. Surface modification with Pt nanoparticles is also explored to enhance sensing performance. ZnO nanowires are locally grown between electrodes and tested for hydrogen sensing, showing improved sensitivity when coated with Pt.
