II. TITLE: CONSTRUCTION OF CLASSROOM BOOKSHELVES
III. RATIONALE:
Bookshelves are a vital part of any well-equipped classroom, serving
multiple purposes that contribute to a positive learning environment. Bookshelves are
an essential element of a successful classroom, promoting reading, enhancing, and
creating a welcoming environment. It provides students with resources, encourage
exploration, and foster a love of reading, making a significant impact on their
academic growth and development.
IV. OBJECTIVES:
This project aims to:
1) Help organize and store books efficiently, maximizing space within the
classroom and creating a visually appealing and uncluttered environment.
2) Provide a designated space for students to access and explore books
independently, encouraging them to engage in self-directed learning.
3) Create a more engaging, organized and accessible learning environment.
V. PROJECT OUTPUTS:
1) Provide a designated space for books and making them easily accessible,
bookshelves encourage students to engage on independent learning.
2) Enhance the visual appeal of the classroom, creating a more inviting and
stimulating learning environment.
3) Create a reading culture within the classroom, where reading is valued and
encouraged.

a) School Director/Principal – provide support and approval for the
project. Reviewing the teacher’s proposal, ensuring it aligns with school
policies and resources.
b) PTA Officers/Parents – provide additional support and expertise,
particularly in areas where the teacher or students may lack experience.
c) Students – taking pride in their contributions and feeling a sense of
ownership over the finished bookshelf.
d) Teacher – the driving force behind the project, initiating the idea,
gathering student input and overseeing the entire process.
