What is an Academic Coach?
Our Grasp Certified Learning Coaches ®
motivate and inspire children to consider what
they love, and help them achieve their short
and long term goals.
They help Graspers complete their homework,
addressing day-to-day academic needs and
helping them develop solid study skills.
More than just a tutor!
More than just a tutor
• Academic coaching is an
evolution of mentoring applied to
academics.
• Individualized learning vs “drill &
kill”.
Develop the whole child, not just a particular subject.
Study skills at the core:
Our Grasp Certified Learning
Coaches® are fully trained to help
children incorporate study skills
abilities while completing their daily
homework.
We don’t just teach what they need lo
learn, we teach them HOW to learn.

• Common Core state standards are rolling out this year.
• 50% of parents struggle with their children’s homework and they are STRESSED.+
