SyrGuide is a collaborative project created by Syracuse University students to provide accessible information about the local Syracuse area. The initial design of SyrGuide did not function well across different platforms. To improve SyrGuide, changes were made to the overall design, menu consolidation, and promotion. A new WordPress theme was selected to provide a minimal but improved design that brings attention to the logo and content on various devices. The menu was consolidated by moving some sections to the banner and combining others to aid usability on different platforms. Promotion efforts were also decided as a way to bring more attention and traffic to SyrGuide.
