Ever Lux

CloudEndure provides a free lift-and-shift migration solution that simplifies migrating physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure to AWS. It replicates data without performance disruption and allows for short cutover windows. CloudEndure supports migrating Windows, Linux, Oracle, SQL Server and SAP systems. The migration process involves installing an agent, replicating data, launching a test target machine, performing acceptance tests, then launching the final target machine in cutover mode after services are stopped on the source.

Some considerations to take into account
Supported Operating Systems • Windows • Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 • XP, 7, 8, 10, Vista • Linux • SUSE 11 • Debian 8 • Ubuntu 12.1 • Red Hat 5.0 • Oracle Linux 6.0 • CentOS 5.0
Operating System Notes Windows • Install all available Windows Updates on the machine. • Windows Source machines need to have at least 2 GB of free space in order to launch a Target machine successfully. • Verify .Net Framework version. Linux • Ensure that you have Python installed on the machine for Agent installation. • Only machines using the GRUB bootloader are supported. • Kernel versions earlier than 2.6.18-164 are not supported by AWS and CloudEndure.
Migration Best Practices Planning Licensing Testing Cutover
How to start?
Migration Process Workflow Install the CloudEndure Agent on the Source machine. Start replication if installed with the -- no-replication flag. Wait until Initial Sync is finished. Launch a Target machine in Test Mode. Perform acceptance tests on the machine, once the Target machine is tested Wait for the Cutover window. successfully, delete it. Confirm that the Lag is None. Stop all operational services on the Source machine. Launch a Target machine in Cutover Mode. Confirm that the Target machine was launched successfully. Decommission the Source machine.
