This document summarizes a student's research on clustering homogeneous XML documents. The student evaluates current XML clustering approaches and proposes a new signature-based clustering method. Specifically, the student first reviews tree-edit distance, graph-based, and tree-based clustering and finds they are not efficient for clustering homogeneous XML documents. The student then presents a three-stage signature-based clustering approach to extract structural summaries, perform initial clustering, and refine clusters based on user input.
