Register your details in order to use the site. Once registered, you can freely navigate key areas on the site. Help View a list of frequently asked questions regarding the Community of Practice platform Functionality The functionality available on every CoP is explained in summary. Communities can be viewed by clicking on ‘Most active communities’, or ‘View all communities’.
Step 1 – Register Register your details in order to use the site through the Homepage, see ‘Register and become a Communities of Practice member today.  And click on the Register button Once registered, you can freely navigate key areas on the site.
Complete the Sign in details Email address Password Password confirm Complete Personal details Title  First name Last name Job title Region Organisation or Local authority Click continue
Step 2 - Set up your profile Once you have registered go to ‘My profile’. Add your photo, a few words about yourself and your areas of expertise. Your profile will look similar to the following example. You can edit your profile at any time. Please populate as much information about yourself as possible; this helps others connect with you.
Amend Personal details Add a photograph Write a short description of yourself Edit my profile Add areas of expertise
Step 3 – Get to know the My home  Various Areas: Communities of Practice Communities can be viewed by clicking on ‘All Communities‘ You can also search for people by using the ‘People Finder’ You can amend you profile by clicking on ‘My profile’ Or logout by clicking ‘logout’ Overview Overview allows you to see a quick overview on what has been happening in your communities. Message people in the community by clicking on ‘Messages’ View the communities you are part of by clicking on ‘My Communities’ Go straight to your Blog by clicking on ‘My Blog’ Manage your email alerts by clicking on ‘Email Alerts Create a list of contacts by clicking on ‘Contacts’

Step 4 – find a community Type ‘(your keyword)’ into the  ‘ Search for a Community’  Box Or click ‘ View all communities’
Type ‘(your keyword)’ into the ‘Search for a Community’ and click Go
Step 5 – Apply to Join Click on name of the community you wish to join Wait for membership to be approved via e-mail It’s YOUR Community! Make the most of it!

You can view member’s profiles by clicking on their name You can see who’s on your contacts list By using ticking  the box on the right side of members names you can add them to My Contacts
You can see the members profile and photo You can see the communities they have joined You can send them a message

News feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines in one place, as soon as its published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from To view all news feed click here To view individual news feed click here
