There are five components of movements: space, directions, levels, pathways, and locations. Space refers to the area where movements occur, either in personal space near one's body or general space further away. Directions include forward, backward, and sideward. Levels are the height of movements - low, middle, or high. Pathways are the patterns of movement through space, such as straight, zigzag or curved lines. Locations specify where movements are in relation to objects or other people, like in front, behind, under or over.
