Inchicore On Track / Closing Statement We responded as a community: By not reacting and respectfully reaching out to CIE / Irish Rail By developing a clear position that was properly communicated in the public domain By securing a mandate from residents By negotiating a formally agreed consultative process with an independent facilitator that was terminated by CIE/Irish Rail

Inchicore On Track / Closing Statement By thereafter continuing an open and positive attitude to liaison with CIE / Irish Rail through regular representations and submissions, including that of OTB By preparing written and oral submissions to An Bord Pleanala without any recourse to technical support or costs By representing as best we might the right of citizens and communities to hold critical, informed views and reasonable requests to have the DART Underground proposal scrutinised and amended in the public interest

Inchicore On Track / Closing Statement We request that CIE / Irish Rail: Reconsider the haste and poorly conceived manner in which the DART Underground proposal for Inchicore was arrived at – as reflected in the various flaws, errors and omissions from the Railway Order Application and EIS Look again at the rationale and main features of what could become a truly innovative and visionary public transport project Engage in a meaningful way with the IRERA and other strategic partners in a shared and collaborative approach to achieving excellent outcomes

Inchicore On Track / Closing Statement We request that ABP: Consider in a fair and progressive manner the veracity of our communities submissions, its distinct body of evidence and reasonable requests for revisions and mitigations Study in depth the simple range of community gain measures proposed here today in the context of existing legislation, enlightened planning processes and the good sense of arising benefits for all stakeholders, including CIE / Irish Rail Append whatever conditions they consider appropriate to the proper realisation of a DART Underground facility in Inchicore

Inchicore On Track / Closing Statement We request that DCC: Safeguard the interests of the city, citizens and communities as expressed most eloquently in the values and actions of the Dublin City Development Plan 2011-2017 Lead out in the establishment of a holistic and integrated approach to developing a Master Plan for Inchicore within which CIE / Irish Rail become a key player in the design and delivery of a properly planned DART Underground facility and related developments – in partnership with IRERA and other local stakeholders
