Constructing The Production
- 2. We a variety of different equipment to further our production. As you can see from our equipment list on our blog. But in order to achieve our aims such as shooting the video we sued a sony handheld stedicam. When shooting we wanted the audience to be observers so we used the camcorder from longer shots, from an objective view. And a tripod so our shots were straight and not shaken. Because we had produced storyboards we didn’t need to redo anything after shooting as we were fully organised about what shots needed what equipment.
- 3. During the construction we did have several shots of same scene. this gave us a range of options to get the best one for our video. Also by doing several takes we got the same shot from different angels and distances to find the one which was most appropriate and best fitted what we had imagined.
- 4. Once we had filmed of taken the photographs we needed, we then used adobe premier pro editing software to edit the footage to our desired look. For example on our evaluation video you can see how we changed and image from colour to black and white so the image would appear to look like a flashback.
- 5. Through out the whole of the planning, and construction stages of the production we constantly referred back to check the characteristics and conventions related to that specific media. For example when I was constructing my album cover I not only used my flat plans which were created from conventions used from existing products and also used CD covers that I had purchased my self .
