Laura Bruce opened an image in Photoshop for a contents page. She used the quick selection tool to cut out the image from its background, then inverted the selection to remove the background. She masked the image to bring back some of the background and make the outside edge look less cut out. Once cut out and masked, she used the color replacement tool to remove green edges brought back by masking, by color picking from the image and painting over the green lines.

I opened my first image for the contents page into Photoshop, I cut out the image from the background using the quick selection tool, I then selected around the image and inverted the it to remove the background. I then masked the image to bring back some of the image so that the outside didn’t look like it had been cut out.
- 3. Once the image had been cut out and masked I used the colour replacement tool to get rid of some of the green around the edge that has been brought back when masking the image. I colour picked from the image to get the matching colour from each section of the image and then went over the green lines around the edge of the image.
