                                                                                  SYNOPSIS


INTERNET SERVICES is an introductory course to Internet Services Provider (ISP). The course focuses on developing the additional skill of internet
services in networking. It provides a basic overview of routing and remote access, addressing and security. Students also learn about soft skills required
for help desk and customer service positions. Network monitoring and troubleshooting skills are taught in context.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
     1.  use knowledge, skills and abilities to perform duties competently as a member of the network support team in an organization.
     2.  create an efficient network addressing scheme, configure network devices and troubleshoot efficiently of an organization’s network system.
     3.  propose feasible upgrading plan of existing network system of an organization for optimal performance and future scalability.

The course assessment is carried out in two sections:
i.      Coursework (CA)
        Coursework is continuous assessment that measures knowledge, technical skills and soft skills.

ii.        Final Examination (FE)
           Final examination is carried out at the end of the semester.


CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT (CA):
Continuous assessment is carried out throughout the semester and comprises the following:
    a. Test (1)                    15%
    b. Laboratory Exercises (5) 30%
    c. Practical Test (1)          15%
    d. Problem Based Task (2) 20%
    e. On-line Assessment (9)      20%
