Twitter is a microblogging social media platform that allows users to post short text updates called tweets that are limited to 140 characters. Users can share pictures, links, videos and other content in their tweets and follow other users to see their tweets in a live feed. While basic communication through tweets is its main feature, Twitter also offers live video streaming and other tools that provide more up-to-date information for users in a fast-paced format.
