Creating a hanging indent

To create a works cited page, organize citations alphabetically and use a hanging indent. Select all citations in Word, right click, select paragraph, and choose hanging indent to automatically indent the second and subsequent lines of each citation to create a hanging indent. This format organizes citations neatly on a works cited page.

- 5. Paste citations in to Word.
- 7. Right click.
- 9. This menu pops up. Look for Special:
- 10. Select Hanging and press OK.
- 11. You should have a hanging indent!
