CS9700 Series Software Upgrade Summary - 3/15/07

Hydro-Quip values our customers input and as such we have made some major software improvements to
our CS9700 series controllers. Below is a summary of the upcoming changes. Please take a moment to
review the information below.

Filtration Cycle Programming:

Prior: 2 programmable cycles, each cycle repeats in the AM and PM

New for 2007: 2 programmable cycles, (1) cycle runs in the AM and (1) cycle runs in the PM

Smart Summer Mode Operation for circulation pump users:

Provides filtration when hot weather conditions are present.

Prior: 2 preprogrammed 2 hour cycles operate the CP and O3 during the hours or 10AM to 12PM and 5PM and
7PM

New for 2007: 2 preprogrammed 2 hour cycles operate the CP and O3 during the hours or 7AM to 9AM and 7PM
and 9PM to coinside with the cooler times of the day

***Only activates when a 4 degree over temp condition is present and circulation pump is turned on in the
low-level programming.

Programmability Options:

Palm Pilot now optional for Low Level Programming
l
l may now be programmed via the keypad if necessary

Changes to Low Level Settings:

Circ Pump Circuit:

CP_2 = Thermostatic controlled circ pump option.

Auxiliary Circuit (30 minute timeout):

AU_1 = 1 Component (on/off)
AU_2 = Legacy Fiber-Box Control
AU_3 = 2 Components (toggled)

***5A max for each auxiliary component(s)

Owners Manual Considerations:

For those customers that use the stock Hydro-Quip owners manuals we will automatically insert an updated owners
manual with each control. For those customers that use their own custom owners manual an update or an addendum will
be required to coincide with the new operational characteristics.
