Corona Virus Disruption started as a core health and medical issue, but now scaled up and become a pan and large scale security, education, and
socio-economic GRAND CHALLENGE  University in team-based approach with expertise in all fields and domains are vital in helping
governments and society in innovative solutions development (health, education, psychology, security, business model innovation,
digital and remote solutions, etc.
University Social Responsibility & Leadership
(This come after internally disruption has been absorbed and business continuity is becoming relatively stable)
University Outputs Optimization
• Incentives for faculty teaching online (e.g. Award of online teaching innovation during
disruption)
• Incentives for faculty to submit more research papers (as compared with normal business, in
particular from pending data and work not published yet)
• Deployment of any new digital and IT platforms necessary for business continuity and
optimization
• Provision of frequent training for faculty and staff to adjust with the new digital platform or
new digital business processes
• Get frequent feedback from faculty, staff, and students (surveys, phone interviews, online
focus groups, etc.); and adjust for gaps rapidly
• Try to design and replace as many as possible of normal onsite business models and processes
with remote ones (start with most critical ones, e.g. education, corona related research and
solutions development, then students support, then normal research, etc.)
• Quickly identify champions across institution (managers, faculty, staff, researchers, students)
and enable them to help and assist in disruption management
• Develop “Disruption Advisory Think-Tank” by some of the most innovative and intellectual
faculty, scientists, and managers
