Petrogulfmisr Co. (Geisum oil company) at the fields located in Red sea, Egypt.

During my work at on and offshore sites, I have gained experience in preparation, development
& implementation of HSE Management System & procedures in line with OHSAS 18001, training
and auditing requirements. I have sufficient knowledge of HSE International Codes & Standards e.
Also, I conducted many courses as HSE Instructor within Petrogulfmisr and other training centers.
My main goal is to ensure that employees, processes, and materials are in compliance with safety

B - Description of Company Facilities
Geisum oil company (Now: Petrogulfmisr oil company ) company is an offshore joint venture oil
drilling and hydrocarbon production operating in gulf of Suez, north of hurghada, Egypt, very large
crude carrier had been converted to F.P.S.O. (floating production storage and off-loading), in 1993
Petrogulfmisrl company had a project of oil production facilities conversion, the project was offshore
jack up rig converted to production platform in addition to onshore process facilities and storage
tanks, the commissioning and start up of hydrocarbon production commenced early 1995

D - Work Experience
Position : Rig safety advisor and safety training coordinator
(Shelf drilling – Egyptian drilling company)
Period : April, 2009 till now
Main Duties:
1. Working as senior HSE on Fixed rig (setty rig), setty was consider as fixed rig converted
from drilling rig into fixed rig with production facilities.
2. Carry out all inspection and audits on the fixed rig as inspection on machinery deck, main
deck and pump room,,,,,
3. Working as HSE inspector within a team from the company to carry out an inspection on the
drilling rig before entrance our location to ensure that all certification are valid such as
(tower inspection certification –BOP certification- BOP drill -all dropped object are
inspected and certified–all CO2cylinder inspected and certified- …).all parts inspected and
reviewed as per API code
4. Carry out loss prevention committee on accommodation area of the rig
5. Ensure that all lifting gears are inspected and are valid
6. Ensure that all PM (Preventive maintenance) carried out such as PM that carries out on all
smoke, heat and H2S sensor.
7. Conducted all HSE committee and all HSE awareness related to the activities carry out such
as (H2S and breathing apparatus awareness-safe lifting Operation-PPE-confined space
entry-hazard communication- ---------)
8. Follow up all activities on drilling rig when it working within our location.
9. Follow up all inspection and repairing that carries out on all tanks(void tanks-pre-load tanks-
mud tanks)
10. Follow up all loading and offloading of big materials within the rig.
11. Follow up all precautions that were taken during chemical mixing in mud room.
12. Follow up all action plans resulting from any audit or inspection carried out on the rig.
13. Ensure that all workers work on mud room and chemical mixing aware by the hazards of job
that they are carrying out.
14. Carry our all emergency drill such as fire drill-gas drill-man over board drill.
15. Carry out the requires inspection on all safety equipment on the rig such as (life boat-life
ring-life raft-breathing apparatus-Fire pump-emergency generator )
16. Follow up all observation that given from any surveyor as ABS surveyor
17. Conducted regular tool box took with all workers when drilling work over unit in our
location.
18. Recommends and advises the OIM; Department supervisors and crews on H,S &E
19. Implements the instructions of the H,S &E
20. Predominantly rig based to allow frequent on-site inspections of drilling and work over
sites to evaluate the adequacy of the programs, advising on compliance, Client standards,
policy, procedures and instructions
21. Advises contractors and rig based senior Client Representatives of deficiencies
22. Develop corrective actions affecting operation’s compliance to company accepted
standards. Follows up to ensure compliance or application of equally effective
alternative based on sound HSE principles.
23. Advises contractors and the senior Client representative of deficiencies with
corrective actions affecting operation’s compliance to company accepted standards.
24. Observe onboard operations on a daily basis advise personnel on safe working practices
monitor critical operations
25. Monitors helicopter operations on a random basis for compliance; assists with emergency
drill planning and drill debriefs; carries out noise assessments and make abatement
recommendations; Assist in monitoring the use and control of hazardous material in line
with to policy and local regulations,
26. Aassist the OIM in incident investigation; Assists the OIM and departmental supervisors
with monitoring improvement opportunities and corrective actions required by internal and
external HSE audits
27. Conducted regular site tour in the rig to ensure all location in good housekeeping and free
from any hazardous
28. maintains and updates the personnel training records; maintain personnel’s safety training
records as mandated by legislation and or company policy
29. Conduct rig site training courses as per training matrix, conduct training on the HSE
management system
30. Conduct formal activity specific safety induction to employee on board.
31. Monitor hazardous operation and take necessary safety precautions as required.
32. Issue and control all work permits and maintain log of permit to work system.
33. Monitoring crew Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reports and incident reports
34. Ensure that all personnel arriving on board have been given safety briefing relevant to the
rig / facility safety equipment and emergency response actions and record keeping of those
actions
35. Assisting HSE Manager to implement HSE Plans;
36. Assisting in the review and advise on Risk Assessments, method Statements for the client
and its contractors and ensuring their application;
37. Make sure waste segregations are done as Local and international Regulations.

39. Ensured that all company personnel and contractors employees adhere to the Company’s
safety policy, loss prevention, procedures and working practices and that all safety, fire
detection/protection and fighting equipment/systems are maintained in a good working
condition at all times
40. Provide advice on HSE matters to Site Supervisors; to assist them in their direct
responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment by promoting their awareness to HSE
issues to create and maintain HSE culture that supports the Health, Safety & Environment
movement system
41. Monitor and control implementation of all procedures related to the maintenance and
effectiveness of safety, lifesaving and emergency equipment and inspect work activities and
equipment to ensure correct operation and that procedures are implemented.
42. Participated and conducted Hazard identification, Risk Assessment, Risk control and
HAZOP studies for all projects or modifications to be carried out on all offshore and
onshore sites. Review and comment on similar studies per-formed for the Company by third
party consultants
43. Coordinate and participate in applying risk management techniques to identify and evaluate
HSE hazards/risks in the field, its facilities and work activities and recommend measures to
Site Management on measures to reduce them.
44. Promote safe working systems and procedures. Monitor and advise on proper application of
'Permit to Work' system, conducting gas and atmospheric tests, participating in actual 'Job
Watch' as and where necessary and ensuring that all Safety regulations and practices are
adhered to.
45. Liaise and coordinate with HSE Department/Technical on matters related to studying &
commenting on engineering designs and drawings pertaining to modifications of plant,
equipment, installations or projects works to ensure adherence to HSE rules, standards and
codes of practice, during all phases of implementation on Site.
46. Assist in the formulation, development and implementation of field HSEMS elements and
programs through the organization of resources and documentation for a sound performance.
Ensure the availability of current HSE manuals, codes of practices, standing instructions,
standards and other related HSE documents or publications, to maintain an up to date
approach and any amendments that may provide improvement.
47. Developed and implemented training scheme for new safety engineers/technicians in
addition to specialized training for all employees on various aspects of safety management
techniques, principles of safety & occupational health. This has included theoretical and
practical training for emergency response teams and conducting of drills/exercises
48. Participated in a major oil spill incident involving offshore combating and beach cleaning
operations in hurgada and surrounding islands
49. Effective sharing to prepare the company for OHSAS 18001,ISO 14001&ISO9001 at
November 2007 by SGS
50. Follow up all action plan related to internal and external audit and inspection
51. Follow up all preventive maintenance and predicated maintenance program that carry out by
the company
52. Conduct frequent audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs and
procedures. Present recommendations for improvement and follow-up their implementation.
53. Assist the man in-charge at the scene in case of emergency situations; investigate incidents
resulting in injuries, property damage or near misses, to evaluate and determine causes and
preventive measures. Prepare reports and make recommendations including action plans to
alleviate such situations and take preventative measures. Maintain follow up to ensure
adequate implementation of recommendations.
54. Follow up all vessel cleaning that carry out by third party by taken all precaution that should
be taken related to safety and environment
55. Investigate incidents of oil or environmental pollution, and liaise with concerned
departments to implement a cleaning program; prepare reports on such incidents together
with comments and observation.
56. Coordinate, monitor, prepare agenda and follow-up the implementation of recommendations
raised from the Site HSE committees, other HSE related meetings, and HSE audit surveys
by third parties.
57. Prepare detailed lists of foreseeable HSE requirements for operational needs, to be
incorporated into the annual budget. Maintain adequate stocks of Health, Safety &
Environment equipment.
58. Ensure that all procedures and data pertaining to hazardous substances including radioactive
sources are available and that necessary precautions are observed when transporting and
handling.
59. Develop training programs in HSE principles and practices, including practical exercises;
develop and assess orientation programs aimed for promoting accident and fire prevention
among personnel and supervise specific fire and emergency drills for site personnel.
60. Specify the PPE to be used by all employees in normal and hazardous conditions, and
ensure that specifications are enforced. Ensure availability of the fire, safety, lifesaving,
environment, emergency equipment and personal protective clothing to meet possible
requirements.
61. Ensure that mandatory safety, environmental and inspection records are updated and
available at all times for inspection by Company auditors, Government inspectors and
recognized agencies; prepare and discuss a variety of task-specific and regular reports and
statistics.
62. Prepare periodical activities reports.
63. Review all HAZOP design for new facilities within the company.
64. Review all life saving equipment for all offshore location according to life saving appliance
code.
65. Review and update all firefighting equipment for all onshore and offshore location
according to code and standard.
66. Review and follow up all requirements of ABS(American Bureau of Shipping) as it is a
class of certification for offshore location.
67. Experience in ability to guide Project Management and Design Consultants and Contractors

Follow up all activities on drilling rig when it working within our location. 9. Follow up all inspection and repairing that carries out on all tanks(void tanks-pre-load tanks- mud tanks) 10. Follow up all loading and offloading of big materials within the rig. 11. Follow up all precautions that were taken during chemical mixing in mud room. 12. Follow up all action plans resulting from any audit or inspection carried out on the rig. 13. Ensure that all workers work on mud room and chemical mixing aware by the hazards of job that they are carrying out. 14. Carry our all emergency drill such as fire drill-gas drill-man over board drill. 15. Carry out the requires inspection on all safety equipment on the rig such as (life boat-life ring-life raft-breathing apparatus-Fire pump-emergency generator ) 16. Follow up all observation that given from any surveyor as ABS surveyor 17. Conducted regular tool box took with all workers when drilling work over unit in our location. 18. Recommends and advises the OIM; Department supervisors and crews on H,S &E 19. Implements the instructions of the H,S &E 20.
