Cypress 2.7 ■ Cypress v2.7.0, the newest version of the electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) testing tool, will be released on Thursday, July 23. ■ Cypress 2.7 will be used for testing against – 2014 eCQM Specifications for Eligible Professionals Update May 2015 – 2014 eCQM Specifications for Eligible Hospitals Update May 2015 ■ 2015 measures have been updated to use the HL7 Version 3 Standard: Representation of the Health Quality Measures Format (eMeasure), DSTU Release 2.1 ■ Cypress 2.7 will be updated to validate against QRDA Category I Release 3 ■ Cypress 2.7 will not be available for certification, but can be used for testing 3

Cypress 2.6.1 ■ Cypress 2.6.1 planned for release July 23rd, 2015 ■ Cypress 2.6.1 will be incorporating all (non standards/bundle) changes made to Cypress 2.7.0 ■ Cypress 2.6.1 will continue to be available for certification after the Cypress 2.7.0 release 4

Cypress 2.7.0, 2.6.1 and Cypress Validation Utility – Validation Updates ■ Performance Rates ■ Cypress 2.7 will validate performance rates if they are provided in QRDA Cat III Files. ■ Measure Duplication ■ Cypress will validate that measures and populations are only reported once. ■ Measure Period ■ Cypress will validate that the correct measurement period is specified. ■ Data Criteria Validation ■ Cypress will validate QRDA Cat I data criteria against all measures being tested. ■ Smoking Gun Validation ■ Reverting Smoking Gun error handling back to Cypress 2.4.1. 6

Smoking Gun ■ Cypress 2.6.0 currently treats missing Smoking Gun Data as a warnings ■ Cypress 2.6.1 is being updated to treat missing Smoking Gun Data as a errors ■ There are expected to be false negatives – Cypress issuing an error that smoking gun data is missing when it is not – These false negatives are described in ■ https://jira.oncprojectracking.org/browse/CYPRESS-168 ■ http://projectcypress.org/issue168.html – Will be handled on a case by case basis when errors are observed 11
