Dappy presentation
- 3. Visuals and music • Straight away we see that there is a relation between the song and the video. The video is like a short story where it shows 3 different characters and there life. Each character has a different problem but they are all similar in a way for example they are all living in a warn gown grubby area. • In the end of the video all the problems are solved and are much happier than before. This is typical for an rap, R&B song where it features some sort of problem or dilemma but is resolved at the end.

Lyrics and visuals • Through out the whole video the lyrics go with the video or each shot even though the shot might be before the lyrics. “I paint the picture of a fighter” As Dappy says this line there is a shot of someone banding their hands up representing them as a fighter “Cause when I look in the mirror I don't even recognise myself” Just after Dappy says this lyric in the next shot it shows the kid looking in the mirror in the back of the car.
- 5. General characteristics • In No regrets there is mostly a close up with Dappy to show his face and what he looks like. In nearly every music video of Dappy there is a close up of him signing. This shows that he is the main subject of the video and that he is more important to what is going on. He is also wearing chains, baseball cap and a base ball jacket. This is normally associated with RnB to show the artists hip hop side/ street side.
- 6. Intersexuality • “I'm a changed man now Chris Brown”. He uses this in his lyrics saying how Chris brown has changed. • He also says “back to the future like, Marty Mcfly” this is showing that he is linking to Back to the Future. It also could mean that you don’t have to look back on your self or to change anything.
