DATA INTERPRETATION
Data Interpretation is the process of making sense out of a collection of
data that has been processed. This collection may be present in various
forms like bar graphs, line charts and tabular forms and other similar forms
and hence needs an interpretation of some kind. Here we will learn about
data interpretation with the help of many important techniques and
examples. We will see how we can make sense out of the graphical data
and other forms of it. We shall learn to use it to solve the most common
questions that are present in this section of the quantitative aptitude.

Tabulation is a systematic & logical presentationof numeric data in rows
and columns to facilitate comparisonand statistical analysis. ... In other
words, the method of placing organised data into a tabular form is called
as tabulation.

(ii) Table Puzzle
A pie chart is a type of graph in which a circle is divided into sectors that
each represents a proportion of the whole. Pie charts are a useful way to
organize data in order to see the size of components relative to the whole,
and are particularly good at showing percentage or proportional data.
A bar chartis used when you want to show a distribution of data points or
perform a comparisonof metric values across differentsubgroupsof
your data. From a bar chart,we can see which groups are highest or most
common, and how other groups compare against the others.
A line chartis a way of plotting data points on a line. Often,it is used to
show trend data, or the comparisonof two or more than two data sets.

How to approach Data Interpretation
• Visual estimation of the given diagram
• Look at the main heading, sub-headingand data
• Read questions carefully
• Try to understand which type of questions are asked
• The questions are asked either calculation based or observation based
• If questions are asked approximation based so always use the approximate
value and look at the nearest option
• Always watch the unit which are asked
