• Purpose
– Utilize central location for capturing and
storing all relevant field data.
– Generate various internal and external reports
with minimal manual input.
– Provide a user-friendly source for viewing and
generating individual reports, graphs and
tables.
– Provide accessibility from internal and
external locations

• Deliverables
– Data should only be loaded one time (preferably at
the source)
– All pertinent data should be included in the database
– Where possible, the data should be downloaded
automatically into the database
– Report generation and access should be user-friendly
(simple and quick - end user does not need to know
how to use specific software)
– Reports should be generated automatically from the
database with no or very little manual input
– Report should be available electronically (view on PC)
and by hard copy
– Confidential data must be kept secure

–Identify system capable of meeting most
if not all deliverables – COMPLETED.
–Perform pilot program to evaluate
system – COMPLETED.
–Obtain feedback on data and reporting
requirements from group/discipline
representatives – IN PROGRESS.
–Identify required data not currently
included in the database.

–Determine whether data can be
included, what will be required to get it
included and whether it can be captured
automatically.
–Create template for various reports.
–Implement new system at least 30-60
days prior to STV start-up.
