This project compared three popular creative problem solving methods - Creative Problem Solving (CPS), Lateral Thinking, and Synectics - across philosophical, theoretical, structural, functional, and efficacy dimensions. The author conducted a qualitative analysis of each method using focused criteria within each dimension. The study aimed to objectively highlight the similarities and differences between the methods in order to provide perspective and decrease "us-against-them" attitudes. The findings and recommendations may help foster more collaboration in the creativity field.
