Industrial Age Software Build Like a Machine Like Industry - software built in factory Deployed in field. Offers limited variation but unlimited interaction. But Software  is not machine. It is used by people to coordinate activities. A business is not an Algorithm. And Leads to software that is expensive. Due to Customization involved in Field.  Due to Integration Requirements in Field.
Information Age Software Software similar to Biological systems Consumer creates  Interactions to create process. It learns in the field.  No build is done in factory only platform is provided. Software Platform Facilitates Creation and Execution of processes.  Created process is not control driven. Offers unlimited variation but limited interaction.  A very flexible system I.e.
