- 14. Lumbering • The process of bringing down trees in the forest. • It is divided into two major activities • Cutting & Milling

- 16. Milling • Logs are sewed into lumber and seasoned until they are suitable for use. May be seasoned by air or kiln drying to prevent it from wrapping and stop the growth of fungi and other insects.

The flowers are produced in panicles 6–13 cm long containing a few to numerous flowers; flowering is from February to May in the Philippines,The hardwood, which is purplish, is termite resistant and rose-scented.
