Design Of An Electric Cart For Airport Terminal

This document summarizes the design process for an electric cart intended for use at airports by personnel. It describes information gathering including user studies and market research. Key user needs were identified as easy maneuverability, comfortable seating, and long battery life. Several design concepts were iterated on with a focus on ingress/egress, battery integration, and ergonomics. Dimensions and a 1:1 scale model were used to evaluate the final design. The design was inspired by studying interior designs at various airports.
