FINAL FRONT COVER 1ST IDEA After creating this front cover, due to peer feedback and criticism of my own, I thought that the masthead looked far too formal (Almost Vogue esc) for a rock magazine. Furthermore, after looking at different rock magazines (Kerrang!, rock sound etc) I found that they used bright primary colours, instead of dull colours. Also, I found that the font was too small. STAGES
- 3. FINAL CONTENTS PAGE 1ST IDEA After participating in a focus group and some criticism of my own, I found that this contents page was far too simple and needed to be more complex. It was also too messy- the columns bled into one another and the font of title of my magazine didn’t match the one on my cover page. The colours were also very dull and there was no development with the images. Due to this, I created the one below. STAGES
- 4. FINAL DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD 1ST IDEA Halfway through creating my double page spread I realised that it didn’t meet the look I was trying to convey. The white background was dull compared with the black and white image and the masthead was too small, and also too dull. After realising this, I created the double page spread below.
