Illustrator is a vector graphics program that allows users to draw objects using mathematical expressions so they can be resized without losing quality, while Photoshop is mainly used to edit and manipulate raster images using various tools to tweak colors, contrast, and styles at a high resolution. Photoshop files have a constrained size and become pixelated when enlarged, unlike the scaleable vector shapes created in Illustrator.

- 1. Illustrator is a vector based program which allows you to draw vector items. Vector is math based and will basically allow you more freedom if you are going to create something that will need to be various sizes. Photoshop is mainly used to manipulate photos or images. The tools located in the program allow the user to do a rand of thinks to an image. you can tweak colour, change contrast and style to a high quality. The application can also be used for drawing or sketching with the additional use of a graphics tablet. Vector shapes are 'math' based so you won't have problems with things being pixelated when they are made larger because Vectors made with Illustrator can be enlarged to any size. whereas in Photoshop the file has a constrained size. In comparison to Adobe Illustrator Photoshop files are constrained to a specific size and once enlarged past that size they become pixilated.
