The study compares the physical demands of two small-sided football game formats: 4v4+goalkeepers (4v4+gk) and 8v8+goalkeepers (8v8+gk). Results indicate that 4v4+gk leads to higher accelerations, greater player fatigue, and decreased sprint ability compared to 8v8+gk, suggesting it may be more effective for developing power-related football skills. The findings emphasize the significance of acceleration analysis in understanding the physical demands of differing training formats in football.
