- 1. S Digital Footprint Created By: Clark Hoell, Jayshaun Holley, Samantha Humphrey, and Austin Martin Digital footprints are the trails people leave behind when they get online.

Positive Effects S The teens restored an older car and programmed it to be powered by social media interactions like #MindDrive on Twitter and Instagram, liking their Facebook page and watching their YouTube video. The students then used all of the social fuel they accumulated to drive from Missouri to Washington D.C. in order to meet with the elected officials.
- 3. Positive Effects S Last December, cancer patient Zach Sobiech posted a song he wrote for his family and friends onto YouTube as a way to say goodbye. The song, “ Clouds,” ended up inspiring thousands of people across the country

Positive Effects S Eighteen-year-old Benjamin O’Keefe was angered by Abercrombie and Fitch’s CEO, Michael Jeffries, when his controversial remarks surfaced from 2006 interview about the brand only targeting “cool kids”. In response, Benjamin wrote a blog for The Huffington Post and created a Change.org petition calling for consumers to boycott the company until the CEO) issued an apology.
- 5. Negative Effects S 22-year old North Carolina waitress Ashley Johnson b lasted two customers over Facebook for stiffing her on the tip and keeping her late. She also took the time to mention her workplace by name. She was fired for breaking a rule about disregarding customers.
- 6. Negative Effects S A British woman serving jury duty posted details of the case she was serving on. She wrote, “I don’t know which way to go, so I’m holding a poll”. An anonymous tip resulted in the woman being immediately dismissed from the jury.
- 7. Negative Effects S Caitlin Davis was fired from her job cheerleading for the New England Patriots when she a photo of her surfaced on Facebook. She appears next to a passed-out partygoer who’s been covered in phallic symbols, swastikas, and phrase, “I’m a Jew”. She also has a sharpie in her hand.
