ECR is Digité's eForm Reports Framework that allows business users to easily configure complex custom reports without database or coding skills. Key advantages include horizontal scalability, built-in data security, real-time and archived report generation, calculated columns, and visualization options like charts and RAG indicators. - 2. Introduction Digité’s eForm Reports Framework (ECR) offers the power and flexibility to create complex custom reports by configuration. With ECR, business users can easily configure reports on their own to meet their changing business needs.
- 3. ECR Advantages Does not require DB schema training, Application training is sufficient. Horizontal scalability with minimal load on the DB which leverages Digité project filters and item filters for data filtering and grouping. Project Managers can configure ECR reports at organization level, user level, program level, project level, and even levels below a project i.e. a Release, Work Package, and Iteration. Can be configured as part of process template configuration. Thus, different life-cycles can have different reports configured. Calculated Columns can be configured without any coding .
- 4. ECR Advantages …. continued Data security is built in so there can be no unauthorized access to data. Past reports can be base-lined and saved in the system and recalled as and when required. ECR supports capturing of report input parameters like Report Start Date/Report End Date, Editable Column to capture Comments, etc. ECR also supports trending based on data-points of past reports. Line, Bar, Pie, Stacked Bar charts, and even RAG indicators. Reports can be generated real-time, printed in RTF, PDF, and Excel formats thus removing dependency on a Nightly Scheduler. It does not require setup and maintenance of any OLAP DB and transfer of data from OLTP to OLAP via ETL. Literals are added and updated continually into the literals library for new features.

- 6. Configuration Steps Custom ECR tabs can be added to an existing or new eForm that can be then configured separately which works for both tree and tabbed view eForms. Configure a new eForm if required at Org/PT/Project level. Add ECR segments to the eForm. Configure the ECR segment. Add one or more sections of available types (Generic/List of Items). Configure the section. Configure rows. Configure Columns. Specify Literals/formulas for calculated columns, RAG indicators.
- 8. Generating ECRs Create a new instance of the ECR eForm. Feed in all the mandatory parameters like Report Start Date, Report End Date, etc. Generate all or some sections of the ECR report. Provide values in editable column, if necessary Save the report instance. The report instance will be visible in the eForm listing. Delete the report instance, if not required.

Digité’s eForm Reports Framework (ECR) enables creation of powerful custom reports and their deployment. Digité ECR report is a collection of different eForm Segments where the eForm Segment contains one or more ECR tables made up of rows and columns, which can be configured in different ways to achieve the desired output. - #4: Admin/Configuration of ECR should have good understanding of Digité constructs like eForms, tasks, efforts, defects, traceability and their inter-relationships. Thus, it is a domain aware framework. Data fetch for various cases can be done using configuration without any coding.
