ResearchReady - Direct Linking to Slides and Questions

To directly link to pages or questions within a customizable course on the ResearchReady platform, users must first duplicate the desired course to make its contents modifiable. They then toggle the relevant lesson to visible and edit it to access the share button for generating a direct link. This direct link can then be copied and tested to ensure it links properly to the specified page or question content.

- 1. User Guides Direct Linking to Pages & Questions
- 2. Access courses To access your courses, either: • Click “Customize courses” from the Administrator Panel, or • Select “Manage Courses” from the drop-down Admin menu.
- 3. Find the customizable course Identify the course with lessons whose content/questions you wish to directly link. If you have not yet duplicated a course, see our other tutorials on customizing courses. Note: Lessons within ResearchReady’s Core Courses are locked and cannot be modified. To share specific pages or questions via direct link, you must duplicate the course first.
- 4. Make the course visible To ensure your students can see the page when they visit the link, toggle the slider for that course and lesson to “Visible” by clicking the button on the right.
- 5. Edit the lesson Expand the course by clicking on the text to display all lessons. Click “Edit lesson” next to the lesson whose slides/questions you want to share.
- 6. Get the direct link Click the “Share” button of the page or question you’d like to directly link to.
- 7. Copy the direct link Click Control+C (or Command+C on Macs), or right-click to copy the direct link.
- 8. Test the direct link Open a new tab or browser window to test the direct URL. Note: Users may have to log in to ResearchReady to view the page.
