This study investigates the impact of dietary nitrate on endurance performance following exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD). Ten trained males participated in two groups (beetroot juice vs placebo) and completed running tests before and after EIMD, but results indicated that beetroot juice did not significantly alter the physiological, perceptual, or metabolic responses compared to placebo. Further research is needed to clarify the effects of dietary nitrate on endurance performance after EIMD.
