DocLink is a tool that converts file system hyperlinks between documents stored in a Documentum repository to Documentum URLs, allowing the links to remain clickable when viewed from within Documentum. It scans PDFs for file path hyperlinks and changes them to Documentum links for temporary viewing without altering the source documents or MD5 checksums. This allows documents with inter-file links to be viewed within Documentum while maintaining the original file system paths for regulatory submissions.

- 2. Inter-document hyperlinks – the problem Submission documents can contain hyperlinks (cross-references) to other documents. The targets of these hyperlinks are determined according to a folder path on a file system, relative to the location of the source document, and have to be this way for submission to regulatory authorities. Many companies store their submissions in Documentum, and for these hyperlinks to be “clickable” when viewing from Documentum requires converting them from file system links (e.g. C:FolderDocument.doc) to a link that has Documentum path information.
