walking after their own lusts,
(Jude 1:16-19) These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and
their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration
because of advantage.
17) But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of
our Lord Jesus Christ;
18) How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk
after their own ungodly lusts.
19) These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Doctrines of devils
- 1. Doctrines of Devils (1Tim 4:1-6) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4) For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5) For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 6) If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. - 3. Complication of doctrines of devils vs. simplicity: (1Cor. 14:32-33) (Gen 3:1-6) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Serpent: ‘What is your understanding of what God said? We can teach each other.’ 2) And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3) But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: Serpent: ‘You are taking it too literal. What you don’t understand I can explain to you without scripture but in words you can understand. 5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Serpent: You can know spiritual truth that is not revealed by Gods words. God knows more than He is telling you and you can have the same knowledge instinctively. 6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Eve: The knowledge and understanding I have already does tell me there is more to the story than God told me. I can be more godly by following religious instruction that is not in Gods words but these words are ‘godly’. (Rom 16:17-19) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18) For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. 19) For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. (1Tim 4:2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
- 4. (John 8:43-44) Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (Acts 5:3) But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? (1Kgs 22:20-23) And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. 21) And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. 22) And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. 23) Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. (Heb 9:14) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (1Tim 4:3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. - 5. Meat Heb. 5:13-14 (1Tim 4:4-5)For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5) For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. Every creature is already good and if you are thankful for it; it is still not ‘sanctified’. If food needs to be sanctified with ‘Gods word and prayer’ how much more doctrines and philosophies.
