- 3. My town Dear penfriends, Piacenza is a nice town in the north of Italy, near Milan. It has got a population of (about) 100.000 people. There is a big river called Po. There are a lot of cars, orange bus and white taxis. Piacenza is a green town because there are a lot of parks and gardens. You can see interesting monuments, “old” palaces and churches.
