Provide information
   to the donor


• In the Form of Posters

• Personally if asked
Inform donor
of the process

• Through a leaflet
• Through a Poster
• Personally if asked
• By proper signages
Filling up of Forms

•   Ensure that Donor Forms and Pens
    are provided

•   Provide an area with privacy for
    asking questions

•   Assist Donor in filling Form
    (if need be)

•   Reassure ineligible donors

• Provide privacy
• Counsel Donor about reason
  for ineligibility
• Reassure him
• Thank him as if he is a donor
Make Pre-Donation
  Smooth

  •Ensure proper sitting place for
             Hb Check
             BP Check

  •Explain ease of donation

  •Direct Donor to the Donation
Cots
Get the donor to relax
after Donation

  • Ensure seats with back rests

  • Ask Donor to keep hand folded

  • Keep an eye on the donor

  • Serve biscuit and coffee
Take care if donor is
 uncomfortable
• Provide resting cot away from Donation area
• Ask Donor to lie down
• Ensure that feet are raised
• Ask donor to breathe deeply
• Provide glucose and water
• Talk to the donor
Thank the Donor


• Should be done personally by the organizer

• Hand over Certificates, Badge, Donor Card

• Collect information on Donor

• Remind Donor about next donation
Send a card


• For the Donor’s Birthday/
  Wedding Anniversary

• Send Reminder card on date
  of next donation
Recognise the Donor

• Arrange annual get-together

• Recognise appropriately after
           10 donations
           25 donations
           50 donations
           100 donations

• Invite donor as testimonial
“ Thank You ”
