This document describes a training module on how to carry out secondary validation of rainfall data. It discusses various methods for validating rainfall data, including screening data series, scrutinizing multiple time series graphs and tabulations, checking against data limits for longer durations, spatial homogeneity testing, and identifying common errors. The module provides examples of applying these validation methods to rainfall data from the Kheda catchment in India. It aims to teach participants how to perform secondary validation of rainfall data to identify suspect values by making comparisons with neighboring stations.
