- 1. DRAFT 2- THE FINAL SOUND
- 2. 1:31-1:54 In draft 2, the other male speaker through the phone was too quiet and unclear so I recorded it again for it to be louder and more clear so the audience can understand the context of the film- That the protagonist has a family.
- 3. 2:28-2:31 The loud boom effect from the empty porch was removed because I implemented another chilling sound that is similar to the build up music when Jessica walks up the stairs. I did this because this sound can signify a presence and the audience will recognise the same sound effect that was in the empty porch to when Jessica walks up to the stairs.
- 4. 2:50-2:54 There has been a distorted whisper effect that’s been added. This is because the shot was a POV shot. The whispering adds to the scary stalker-like and insanity narrative. The sound from the antagonist herself provides the audience with information that she is there watching Jessica.
- 5. 3:50-3:54 I wanted to intensify the sound and build up of the scene where Jessica runs down the stairs so I decided to increase the volume making it sound more threatening and intense of whether she will survive or not.
- 6. THE ENDING Here I added the same whispers that were in the previous POV of the film. I made sure to add a black screen so the scream could be heard without needing Jessica’s death on the camera. These sounds also leaves an open type ending where the viewer isn’t ENTIRELY sure what happens to Jessica but know she’s either dead or hurt from the sound of her scream and the loud whispers.
