In what ways does your product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real films?

• In our film we targeted a very specific target • When asking people what

The colours
• As our start to our film is
  based around a dream we
  had to use many different
effects to be able to pull this
  dreamy atmosphere of. One
of the main effects we used
  was the colours.
• We decided to change all the
colours around, yellow • When Bryan wakes up from his ‘dream’ all the
changed to a light blue, red colours go back to normal to give the audience
changed to a purple colour. the sense they are back in reality and its not a
The green grass was similar dream anymore.
however changed the colour • We tried with many different effects and found
to a brighter and slightly that this one worked best because of the distinct
different colour. As well as colour change. The colour change is obvious to
the audience which gets the audience thinking
  skin changing to a light
what is taking part un till you see Bryan wake up
blue/purple colour. from his dream and colour go back to normal.
• Sound wasn’t a major part
in a film, silence was the
  effect we used and just
  having diagetic music.
                                  Sound
• During the start of the
movie, we start with just • The one section we had sound in, was the
  some natural sounds of
eye part. This part was when everything
  the birds and the
area, this then changes in the dream happens in reverse and seen
from only hearing natural by the audience through Bryan’s eye as
sounds throughout the he wakes up from his dream.
chase, this included the • We used a mix which had been made by a
car engine and nick DJ, it had a soft tune which gradually buil
breathing heavily. up to bring the tension up in the film.
• throughout the film all • The sound had that dreamy effect with it
sounds are natural except which is what we were aiming for.
one section which we • The only other time the song is
decided to use as a sort of
featured is during a short title scene
  theme tune.
