I believe that I would be admirable for this job, because I have studied closely the duties and responsibilities of this particular role and believe my skill set and experience matches the requirements. In the job description for the position, there were some requirements that stood out to me. Storing, racking and cleaning of costumes To know a script/cues To work out changes in advance Ensure changes are fast paced yet seamless I am prepared to perfect these duties and responsibilities as a Dresser and ensure every change is rehearsed and learned not only by myself but performers likewise. I am a very organized and reliable team player, who is willing to go to any length to get my job done efficiently and correctly. I also listen to every instruction I am given to ensure the job is done in the best way possible. I also manage fast paced jobs well, and am able to keep my calm and attempt to reflect that onto people around me. For example, these qualities were presented when I was hired as a lighting operator for a pantomime. The job required lots of organisation, for example, keeping my script and lighting cue sheets in order, and rehearsing, to make sure that I, and the actors knew exactly when the lighting changes were to occur, along with knowing the script and being responsible whilst working together with other team members such as the sound operator. I have also worked as a Front of House team member, which also requires most of the qualities I have stated above, especially organisation and willing to complete the job to a high standard. My organisation skills are also presented through meeting deadlines within college and completing the work to the best of my ability. I think that the qualities I have are desirable in this particular job as it will ensure that the event runs smoothly and stress free. I also know how my actions and responsibilities affect the backstage hierarchy, for example, who I have to answer to, and who will be affected if my job is not completed correctly, and what I need to do to guarantee a faultless show.
